Namibia

GlobeMed gathered and sent 24 boxes of hygienic and medical supplies and 18 crates of high-energy shakes for the malnourished to the Osire refugee camp in Namibia . The camp is maintained by the United Nations and sees 24,000 refugees every day. The shipment was done in conjunction with the "Providing Help, Sharing Hope" Project coordinated by Karen Milco of the Moody Church of Chicago. With the help of GlobeMed and other charitable organizations, Mrs. Milco collected enough supplies to fill two large containers, one 20' and one 40' in length, which arrived in Osire on November 13, 2002 .
